An extensive project to develop an existing historic garden into a tiered amphitheatre that can be used for various functions and performances.
The works required a wide variety of disciplines in both hard and soft landscaping and included tree felling and clearance, concrete piling, round performance stage constructed of concrete. The tiered area was constructed using 350mt of ‘Corten’ steel plate and 1000t of sub-base with soil and rubber crumb reinforcement to turf finish.
Adjacent paths (330m2) were formed using re-claimed edgings, sub-base and resin bond ‘macadam’ finish. Existing steel boundary fence replaced with a new fence on original boundary line.Topsoil (300m2) spread to create shrub beds for planting with 500 no specimen ‘historic’ type shrubs.

Creation of a formal pool within historic walled garden. Works required the excavation of material to form levels to allow waterflow from a circular feature to lower formal pool via a water rill of Welsh slate. The pool was constructed with a reinforced concrete base and Yorkstone copings. Installation of full pumping system and large pedestal feature fountain. Paving to form seating areas using bespoke Yorkstone. Soft works to compliment the design included specimen shrubs and seeding to form high quality lawns and wild flower meadow areas.

Substantial project to create formal and natural parkland settings within an historic mansion and landscape.
Hard landscape works included remodelling of the forecourt to include macadam drive with chip and spray finish. Yorkstone to form turning circle and tumbled Yorkstone paving to service yards. Formal paving areas of Yorkstone including large semi circle seating feature.
Soft landscape consisted of formal lawns framed with Yorkstone paving and gravel paths. Yew hedge units to form boundaries, around pleached Carpinus. Fountain garden and Parterre gardens required steel edge’s to form intricate symmetrical shapes framed with the planting of buxus. Significant planting undertaken to include shrubs and herbaceous stock, mature trees, high quality turf and specimen shrubs and topiary units.

Mass native planting to form parkland environment. Including 30,000 mixed native transplant trees fitted with Tubex guards. Native hedging to form over 1500mt of new field boundaries. Tree screening areas planted with 170 semi mature trees and 1050 specimen trees and bushes. Automated irrigation system installed to tree screen areas.

Two phases of a project to create a lottery funded community garden located within inner city Bristol. Works included the demolition and clearance of existing features. The construction of cycle and pedestrian pathways, sandpit, and playground equipment. Boundary fencing to enclose new lawn and shrub areas including raised beds for vegetable and fruit growing education projects. Wet pour safety surfacing and safety mulch to surroundings.

Landscaping to new residential building to form garden areas and planting to car park and boundary areas. Works undertaken in demanding weather and ground conditions with 2200m2 of turf laid on a sand bed. 26 semi mature trees planted to boundary and 6500 shrubs to form planting beds finished with 120 m3 Mulch. Ongoing maintenance for two years, to include various additional works to further enhance the scheme.

Formation of various hard landscape areas in following artist commission. Main pathway improvements to Hengrove park. The path constructed of four types of paving all contrasting in colour, texture etc. Existing tarmac path and significant regrading of levels required prior to laying with concrete edgings in the shape of a trees.New fencing and cycle entrance added,
Other commissions were to five areas within Hengrove. This included paving, formation of soiled mounds, stepping log features, resin-bond steps. Decking and painting of timber features.

New residential retirement developments landscaped simultaneously to
form new garden areas, with car park and boundary planting.
Combined they required 1200m2 turfing, 31 semi mature trees and
6000 perennials and shrubs and 45m3 bark mulch.
Planted sales area formed pre and post construction.

New large storage area with a requirement for substantial native planting along boundaries and soiled bund.
This consisted of 70 various sized trees, 3600 Transplants fitted with mulch mats and boundary hedge of 3000 native plants with spiral guards. Bark Mulch 25m3.
